We all worked on our projects. Please answer these questions:
- Describe a challenge you faced and how you solved it?
- Are there challenges that you will still need to work on?
This blog has been created for Elmwood School students who are experimenting with the program entitled, "Scratch". Scratch is a programming language developed by researchers at MIT. Questions will be posted for students to read and write comments. Our intent is to create an online journal where students can reflect upon their learning.

Julia and I worked on something we call," Hippo". Extravagant name aye? Anyhow, our program has a baby on a flying hippo ( thats why we named it "Hippo") who falls off and then a helicopter comes and brings the poor, poor, baby to a hospital bed. We are having some trouble making the boys bedroom, (the babys named Jimmy. Cute, eh?)look like a hospital bed. It just flat out wasn'tworking! The eraser took too long. Then, when we tried to fill it in THAT didn't work either! oh well! All for now!

Bad news,Me and Drew had trouble pushing the buttons to make the darts, congragulations, and bull joke in the right order to make the dart game work right.Good news, we've memorized them in the right order and are completly finished with the program. We're really exited to share!
Spencer and I are working on a show that we like to call Shark And Fish. But I like to call it shark and fish including the frog! In our progam, the shark eats the fish and then the frog! What will happen!
Me and Dan are almost finished we just need to get the controls for the UFO and figure out how to copy the scripts for the tanks.
Ryan S. and I worked on a project called Dart. One problem we had was making the darts move in the right order. We helped memorize it with project notes which is something somepeople don't realize. We solved the problem by using the project notes. Right now we are completely finished so we don't have anything more to work on for now.
Jack S. and I have changed our project a lot.We named our project carpet race. There was a flying hippo and a dressed-up cat on majic carpets flying upwards towards the finish line.We have one more script it's going to be a bee that announces everything. We're having some troubles on making the carpet move with the hippo or cat though.I think it's really cool how the backrounds change from night to day.First, it starts at a boardwalk and ends in the night sky.Personally, I think it's going to turn out great.
Jake and I switched our project to a magic carpet race. The racers are a flying hippo and a weird cat. We just started the controls.
