This blog has been created for Elmwood School students who are experimenting with the program entitled, "Scratch". Scratch is a programming language developed by researchers at MIT. Questions will be posted for students to read and write comments. Our intent is to create an online journal where students can reflect upon their learning.

I learned that people using Scratch can create computer programs by connecting Lego brick particles. I discovered that putting 10 steps in the forever brick the Sprite would walk all the way across the screen. I am looking forward to learning how to make the programs to be posted on the website. I am wondering if some games or stories will work and if some might not.
I enjoy Scratch because its like Flash (another computer programing method) except much less complicated. I noticed it's a way of making games, movies, ect. I made one game in Flash and I'm looking forward to make one in Scratch, too.
I learned that with Scratch you can make Cool Cat move and change colors. I look forward to doing
more with this program.I liked it alot.
I noticed that some script blocks make problems in Scratch but they can be solved by other script blocks.
I learned how to create my own charachter and background.Ryan s. and I had a problem with the order of things happening. We probably could've fixed it if we had more time. I am wondering how to use the variable thing.
