Lesson 1 - March 31, 2008

You have been introduced to the programming language, "Scratch". Tell us what you think about Scratch.
Answer these questions:
  • What did you learn today?
  • What discoveries did you make when you tested things out yourself?
  • What are you looking forward to learning?
  • What are you wondering about?

Challenge: For next time, think about how you can get the cat to move backwards 10 steps.

Today I learned how to make Scratch move, pause, and move again.

The question I am asking is: Why did the inventor make Scratch?

I was wondering if we can change the characters. If we can, how? I think scratch is really fun! Why didn't you teach a whole class? I can't wait until next Monday!

I learned how to make Scratch move, pause and then move again. I discovered that you can't be successful every time. I am looking forward to learning whether Scratch has a friend.

I learned that I can move Scratch across the sreen by connecting Lego like particles together. I want to know if by clicking on the motion link if there is a swimming link. I discovered that I can make Sratch move 10 steps pause for 5 seconds and then move again.
